Roseville california (CA) EQ After Fans

The equipment cabinet after. Please note the addition on the fans and the ATM thermal system.

Here is a great example of the mess left behind by integrators who just don’t care. We were invited by the wonderful home owners  to come offer advice and make the system work. We cleaned it all up, added a new receiver and more importantly we added the proper ac and thermal protection devices. These addition insure the long life and proper operation of all the components! The result is a system that sound better and no longer looks a mess. The next step is Crestron control.

Here is our latest Home Theater installed in a beautiful home hidden away in Danville. We installed a 65 inch Panasonic Professional HD Plasma in the existing cabinet. The heart of the system is a Rotel RSX-1550 Surround Sound receiver powering a pair of B&W CM9s with the CMC2 center channel speaker. We wanted to take a little floor space as possible so went to the Artison in-wall sub woofer. It is hidden away from view, but does a rockin good job. As we always recommend, Furman protection on both the plasma and the electronics. And it is all controlled with a Crestron touch screen remote for simple, intuitive operation.

THe "before" picture shows the cabinet after we removed the screen. This used to be a 2 piece projection system with a 65 in screen and a projector on the coffee table.

We have almost completed our work here.  The system looks and sounds remarkable!  It is hooked up and working like a dream.  One button operation as promised!  The TV as you will see looks great in the alcove built for it. Very tight tolerances, a quarter inch in the sides and 1.5 inches at the top and bottom. The B&W Sig8 NT’s perform as billed.  An audiophile listening experience built into the wall! And the sub may be one of the best sub’s in a system we have heard. Seamless bass with no point of origin. The sound will only get better over the next few weeks as things break in.

All of the electronics are hidden away in a remote location.  Rotel RSP-1570 and the Rotel RMB -1565 to power the system. A Marantz Blu Ray for stunning picture quality.  Furman AC-215 at the LCD Flat Panel TV and an Elite 15 at the component location to protect and condition the AC power.  And to insure the BEST in digital music recreation a LINN Majik DS, Digital Streaming Player.

Once the new cabinets are installed and the system has broken in a bit we will go back for one final visit to re-calibrate the sonic performance and do a final calibration on the LCD Flat Panel TV. Until then we can share these photos.

Everyone With A Flat Panel TV Needs The Furman AC-215!

The Furman AC-215 is a simple, inexpensive way to not only protect you TV from damage caused by electrical anomalies, but eek every bit of performance out of it!

Furman AC-215 $199.00

Furman AC-215 $199.00

The AC-215 compact power conditioner featuring Furman’s revolutionary SMP technology. Furman’s Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP) circuit features our exclusive Linear Filter Technology (LiFT) and Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) and a high current TVZ-MOV.

SMP (Series Multi-Stage Protection Plus)
Furman’s SMP surge suppression virtually eliminates service calls. Traditional surge suppression circuits sacrifice themselves when exposed to multiple transient voltage spikes, requiring the dismantling of your system, and repair of your surge suppressor. Not so with SMP. With Furman’s SMP, damaging transient voltages are safely absorbed, clamped and dissipated – no sacrificed parts, no service calls, no down time.

Unique to Furman’s SMP is its unparalleled clamping voltage, even when tested beyond the grueling specifications of – USA/CIDA’s A-1-1 test. While other designs offer clamping voltages that are well above 300VAC peak (far beyond long accepted professional standards), Furman’s SMP clamps at 188VAC peak, 133 VAC RMS even when tested with multiple 6000VAC – 3000 Amp surges! This unprecedented level of protection is only available with Furman’s SMP technology.

LiFT (Linear Filtering Technology)
Unfortunately, traditional AC filter/conditioners have been designed for unrealistic laboratory conditions. Prior technologies could actually harm audio and video performance more than they help, due to the resonant peaking of their antiquated, non-linear designs. Under certain conditions, these designs can actually add more than 10 dB of noise to the incoming AC line! Worse still, lost digital data, the need to reboot digital presets, or destroyed digital converters are frequently caused by excessive voltage spikes and AC noise contaminating the equipment ground. Furman’s SMP with LiFT takes another approach, ensuring optimal performance through linear filtering and no leakage to ground.

E.V.S. (Extreme Voltage Shutdown)
Furman’s trusted overvoltage circuitry protects against all too frequent accidental connections to 208 or 240VAC by shutting off the incoming power until the overvoltage condition is corrected.

Compact Chassis Design
At only 1.75’H x 5’W x 8.5’D, and weighing in at only 3 lbs., the AC-215’s compact, low-profile design makes it ideal for mounting to the back of a flat-screen television, or anywhere that discretely located, remote power protection and purification are needed.
